What is an MCP server, in plain terms?

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol, an open standard for connecting AI assistants to data. The server is a doorway built for them. A person reads your pages. An assistant reading pages has to guess what matters. The server lets it ask a direct question, like which products fit a need, and get structured answers with real links back.

Does this guarantee AI tools will recommend me?

No, and anyone who promises that is guessing. It makes sure that when an assistant looks, it finds correct facts and a working link. We have not yet measured a before and after citation rate for any client, so we will not sell you one.

Is it safe to open my catalogue to AI tools?

We start read only. A public catalogue server shows what is already public on your site, nothing more. Anything that takes an action or needs a login is a separate build, scoped on its own.
